About Us
Sunflower Fuels is a renewable energy company specializing in the cultivation and supply of Miscanthus x giganteus—a high-yield, perennial grass ideally suited for sustainable biomass production. Our operations span from Kentucky, West Virginia, Ohio, Indiana and Illinois, where we grow Miscanthus on marginal and underutilized lands. This approach enables us to deliver large-scale biomass without displacing food crops or contributing to land-use change, making us a key link between regenerative agriculture and clean energy markets including biofuels, animal bedding, and industrial biomass.
Rooted in circular economy principles, Sunflower Fuels delivers both environmental and economic value. Our carbon-negative crop supports the decarbonization of hard-to-abate sectors such as aviation, heavy-duty transport, and renewable natural gas. At the same time, we provide landowners with a long-term, low-input revenue stream through sustainable crop contracts. By partnering with fuel producers and supply chain innovators, we help ensure a consistent, climate-smart feedstock that supports the energy transition.
